Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting lately. I think we should take it as a good sign though meaning I am keeping busy. I just wanted to give a quick overview of the past two weeks or so. I'll let the pictures do most of the talking since this post is long enough with just the pictures.
So below is part of the stone pavement at the top of our mountain behind school which we just learned is 1024 ft tall. Eliza and I ventured to the top on one of our 5 hikes of last week. We saw the sunrise twice and the sunset once. Matt, Eliza and I had quite the week of working and hiking from the 5th to the 11th. So I went on a walk to the right along the top of the mountain while Eliza took a nap on the pavement.
And on my walk along the walls I happened upon this glacial valley (2 pictures down.) When the glaciers moved though Ireland they would scrape out large chunks of land and rock and such and they created these valleys all over the top of the mountains. I found this one and later informed Eliza about it and now it is her favorite spot. She claimed in this picture right below that it was the softest rock she had ever sat on. Haha. Sometimes the cold of the mountain makes us appreciate a good sitting area. The rest of these pictures of the mountain below were taken on the 11th when Eliza Matt and I went on a 5 hour hike up our mountain, walking the whole length of it til we got to Galway Bay, down to the road, and then an additional hour walk back to our house.
On our hike of the top of the mountain we found this stone wall circle that I have seen a few says earlier. There are many mysterious things all around Ireland, including things on the top of our mountain. We had many theories about his circle and the other puzzling bits of stone walls but we couldn't come up with anything that reasonable.
Luckily though, we are pretty compatible hikers and sunset admirers because we all just couldn't believe it was happening because we couldn't imagine it was happening. So much looking at the sky and trying to attempt not to look at the sun, however the pull to do so was very strong.
This isn't the best picture but I think it you look closely enough you can see the amazing light the sun was giving off as it diffused the light through the atmosphere. It looked as though everything on the mountain was glowing. I had a hard time believing I was standing between mountains and ocean while all these clouds, perfectly shifted out of the way to the left to make room for the light to make everything glow.
This strip of fluff changed color constantly and kept distracter us from photographing, drawing, and climbing down before it got too dark.

We had an amazing dinner of pasta, sauce, olives and garlic bread. I t tasted sooo good after being on our feet for 6 hours. Then we went to Galway for Sunday into Monday. Eliza's sister was supposed to come but had to delay her trip to this upcoming weekend. We went to Galway anyway because it is awesome. I didn't take many pictures. We were on the move a lot getting supplies for class and finding a place to satisfy our cravings. Here is Eliza, unhappy that we had strangers in our hostel. That brings us to this week. We have all been working really hard and a lot of us had a crazy project due for mixed media which I will describe at a later date when I am not delirious. We were at school til 5 in the morning working on our stuff. And I would say that until that point I had thought I was on track and not procrastinating. Just underestimated how long some things would take. But we got pretty silly before half the people went home and John, below, decided to do some swing dancing flips. THe movie at the end of the post is him flipping me. However the picture just below is of John and the hole I put in his shirt from flipping me and the pen in my back pocket tearing a hole in his shirt. It was a good work break. Just wanted to make sure you guys knew that even though I am at school all the time we are still having tons of fun. I'll leave you now to enjoy the video. Love al of you.

Dearest Lizzy,
Love the video!!! You look so happy and like you are having a blast - even though you don't sound like you are getting any sleep!
The pictures of "your" mountain look so beautiful! I cannot wait to be able to see it all! Barb and I are getting very excited! (And even though we walk every day I'm not sure we can do a 5 hour hike!)
I hope your mixed media project was well received. Don't you just hate it when things take longer than expected!
Anyway, thanks for the post! I love every minute of them!
Hugs and kisses,
Mom
P.S. Do I need to buy John a shirt and bring it with me? What size?
P.S.S. Do you need a new pair of shoes with all that hiking you are doing?
P.S.S.S. Is Eliza wearing your scarf?
P.S.S.S.S. Love you!
